Rot cut back to sound timber, spliced in with matching profile, primed and left ready for paint.

Cords replaced, sashes freed up, beading remade and the frame made to run smoothly again rather than being ripped out.
Gates, fences and side access
Sagging gates rebuilt or re-hung on proper posts and hardware so they stop dropping onto the path.
Stairs, treads and handrails
Squeaking or split treads replaced, loose balustrade made solid, handrails fixed back into structure not plaster.
Floorboard and skirting repairs
Damaged boards cut out and patched in matching stock, skirting and architraves replaced where they've been chewed up.

Almost always, and it's usually the better call in an older inner-north home. Cords, beads, sashes and sills can all be repaired in place while keeping the original glass and profile.
