Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Tolvan Carpentry & Joinery ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we handle it, and how you can reach us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
01
What this website collects
This website does not require you to create an account, and it does not track you.
The enquiry form on this site collects the details you type into it: your name, phone number, suburb, the type of job, and your message. You choose what to put in the message field, so please do not include information you would rather not share with us.
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking on this site. We do not set cookies, and we do not store anything in your browser.
This is a demonstration website. The enquiry form validates your entries in your browser and shows a confirmation, but it does not transmit or store anything.
02
How we collect it
Only when you submit the enquiry form, call us, or email us. We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect information about you from third parties.
03
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, to quote for the work you have asked about, and to keep a record of what was agreed. Nothing else. We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it for marketing.
04
Who we share it with
We may pass your details to a subcontractor or supplier where that is necessary to quote or carry out the work you have asked about, and to our accountant or insurer where required. We do not disclose your details to anyone else without your consent unless the law requires it.
05
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for two years, and records relating to completed work for seven years to meet our tax and warranty obligations. After that we delete them.
06
Overseas disclosure
This website is hosted on infrastructure operated by Lovable Labs Incorporated (United States) and served from a globally distributed network, so the servers handling your request may be located outside Australia. This site loads no third-party content and makes no other overseas disclosure. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
07
Keeping it secure
The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure.
08
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email or call us using the details in the footer and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us first and we will look into it and come back to you in writing. If you are still not satisfied, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
09
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
Questions about your information?
